A letter from our president:
Hello Altadena Arts Magnet Families!
On behalf of our school’s PTA, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Altadena Cougar family community! The PTA strives to make the school year as fun, educational, and productive as possible, and we are very excited about what we have planned for the 2025 – 2026 school year.
In the wake of the Eaton Fire, it’s important to make sure we take care of each other, and provide an uplifting, positive environment for our school families. Our PTA’s theme this year is Connections and Community. Throughout this upcoming year, the focus of our activities will be centered around bringing our school community together through various events and programming; providing helpful resources and services; and maximizing the education of every child, while continuing to support our school.
One way you can help make this a successful year for your family and our school community is by joining the PTA! We would love to have you join – and all family members and loved ones can register. This includes yourself, grandparents, aunts, uncles, close friends – even your student! This is an opportunity to be a member of an organization that funds many of our community events throughout the school year and helps our teachers enrich your students’ education through field trips, special performances and more.
As part of the PTA, you may attend our meetings, both in person and virtual, the second Tuesday of every month. While we encourage all members to attend meetings regularly, attendance is not a requirement for membership. You may join various committees including Community Events, Fundraising and more, and volunteer at various PTA-sponsored events. You can participate as much or as little as you would like, finding a perfect balance that is right for you. Joining and volunteering in the PTA enables you to stay connected, meet other families, build and grow our community and share ideas and experiences to make it a more inclusive environment for our Altadena Cougar family.
